Aggelorium

Call me the most saddening thing on earth, but I have idol-related poems and at least to me, they're beautiful. I'll explain one of them to you.



Aggelorium

These eyes watch you as you lay asleep on the shores of pearl
And though you are never to see me, I stand silently and for you I pray
As soberness seep into you and give you view of my world,
I drag myself further from you, and thus I swim away.

I take my first steps as I believe they might bring me to you
Should I drop my tears, should I melt into the blue?
Secrets are left hidden as we dance through many nights
From where we had come and to where we will end is out of our might

Are the snowflakes still prettier to you the way roses are to me?
Melt with me and come back home, leave this land in eternal freeze

So the poem you've just seen, and the two others below, are all related to EXO. In Aggelorium, I was trying to depict the story from Neowi Sesangeuro and Baby Don't Cry from the point of view of the girl, or the human being/mermaid.

The last verse was dedicated to Kai, both the graceful dancer and the male lead of Hans Christian Andersen's The Snow Queen. Not many fans know of this, and possibly I'm still the only one as I type this away, but I think the lyrics to Machine are inspired by this very story, and it is very possible that if they took so many things from HC Andersen, they might as well have taken the name of my our hero from there.
